Minecraft Experience

THE BRIEF

Minecraft comes to life like never before!

Following its debut in Dallas, the immersive phenomenon made its debut in the UK – and with it, the exclusive launch of integrated photo opportunities that allowed guests to become part of the adventure, and which have gone on to be part of future iterations of the event, having so clearly demonstrated the value they deliver.

Our extensive background of partnering with strong, well known and instantly recognisable IPs meant that we were able to work alongside Microsoft to curate a range of digital backgrounds, alongside a full product range including glossy photo wallets and Keyring & Magnet activity sets designed to complement our high quality, digitally enhanced and branded photos from within the experience itself.

As official photography partner, we were commissioned to  deliver two unique photo moments for fans of all ages. We deployed the full GoPhoto system, which is extremely well suited to high-footfall immersive events, and which gave guests an opportunity to pose with their favourite mobs or jump into a blocky landscape. With one capture point on entry and other immersed within the fabric of the event itself, GoPhoto ensured guests left with a keepsake as creative as the game itself.

With AI-powered background removal, vibrant themed designs and a seamless digital journey from capture to purchase, this was event photography truly levelled up. From hardware and installation to staff training and creative development, we delivered a full-service photo solution built to match the dynamic world of Minecraft: The Experience.

GoPhoto’s knack for seamless operational delivery also reflected our approach to wider operational consultancy on this project. From full pre-planning services, designed to identify and isolate cost savings, to working with the FKP Scorpio team to deliver an exceptional customer journey and experience, and identifying revenue opportunities that could be integrated and built out – we took a holistic and thorough approach to delivering operations guidance and advice. We carried this approach across throughout the experience itself, building onsite staff teams and managing daily live ops to ensure smooth and easy operational delivery.

As is standard for FKP Scorpio exhibitions, the old-fashioned, traditional cloakroom was nowhere to be seen and instead a full contingent of Bisley smart lockers were deployed at the venue. Offering easy guest interaction, integrated payment opportunities available via onsite touch screen or guests’ phones, these allow for staff efficiencies, customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
